• Spring

    April 28, 2011 by

Spring is a time were flowers grow and it gets warmer and we get to go to the park.  Some animals that we see in the spring are birds, Canada Geese, groundhogs, turtles, raccoons, and ducks.   We hardly see Spring Peepers, but we hear them.  We discovered that they are not birds, they are frogs!
The worst part of spring is that the bugs come out like mosquitoes, bees, spiders (spiders are arachnids), and May flies.

    We celebrate Easter

    April 24, 2011 by

We celebrate Easter by coloring eggs and going to bed on time the night before (it is hard to go sleep when you are exited) we usually get Easter baskets on the day of Easter  This year we did a MAJOR  egg hunt in our yard our yard is Huge! So it was hard to find the eggs but mom and dad gave us hints then we went up to our grandmothers house to hunt for eggs again. And we had a nice easter ham dinner with her Then we went home and played with our Harry potter  Lego set

    Our skype with Conneaut, Ohio

    April 16, 2011 by

In March, we had a Skype call with a class in Conneaut, Ohio.  If you look at the picture carefully, (I hope you can read my hand writing) I made a Venn Diagram.  Even though Mom is our teacher, we also have a lot more teachers such as our karate teacher and other homeschool parents.  Our school day is shorter, but they are only in school for 9 months.  We are in school all year.  We do not get report cards or snow days.  We have similar amounts of subjects.

    Skype with New Zealand

    March 13, 2011 by

B4Class2We skyped with New Zealand.  They have the same snacks as us and they eat a lot of fruit. They grow grapes.  I like New Zeland it is cool (not like cold it is nice). It’s warmer than here because their lowest temperature doesn’t go as low as ours.  They have very good gardens like us.  They grow pumpkins and potatoes.   We asked them a lot of questions.  They like watermelon and bananas and apples.

    Winter weather

    February 18, 2011 by

photo2 This picture was taken by me at the local sportsman club. That is only three quarters of the pond where I am. If you would have seen how big it really is  you would think the picture is small.

It was so cold my hands started to go numb.  When I was getting to the spot where I took the picture, I slipped and fell on the ice.

    Does lightning make a sound.

    February 12, 2011 by

I was eating breakfast this morning. then my mind said does lightning make a sound?  so I told mom my theory. My theory was maybe if lightning falls fast enough it will break the sound barrier and make thunder.  Mom told me to do some research.

The smiling dolphin swims slowly through the deep blue water. The hungry dolphin is migrating to the warm food filled waters.
